What Is Protypers?
Protypers pays its users to type. You are paid to solve images which appear to be CAPTCHA codes. If you are unfamiliar with CAPTCHA codes, CAPTCHA stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. More on CAPTCHAs can be viewed here on wikipedia. Moving on, you are given a time limit on every image to solve it. If you solve it before the timer runs out you are credited for it. You are credit on a per thousand image basis. They pay at different rates at different times of the day. I’ve seen rates between about $0.50 up to around $1.50. All of the hourly rates are outlined on the site so there are no surprises. The higher rates normally start around 2PM. The average person usually types between 50 and 80 words per minute. Theoretically you can make up to around $7.00 an hour, assuming they typed 80 wpm, at a rate of $1.50 an hour. Also assuming there were words served often enough.
Some people feel that solving CAPTCHA codes is immoral or illegal. I will leave this up to you as I am not here to judge, only provide information.
How do they pay?
They pay through PayPal, Liberty Reserve, WebMoney, and Western Union. Payment estimates are updated every day at 1:00AM server time. Minimum payout is $3.00 for every payment form except for Western Union. To be paid with Western Union your account must contain at least $100.00. Payments are sent out once a week on either Monday or Tuesday depending on your payment method.
Other things to note:
- You do need to correctly type the images, repeated incorrect typing CAN get you banned.
- The images are case sensitive, so make use of your shift key/caps lock.
- You are timed on how long you have to solve images.
- If you can’t make out what an image says you can click “Don’t Know” but don’t abuse it.
