Data entry is a great way to work from home, so long as the work keeps coming in and the pay is decent.
First let’s set the record straight as to what data entry is. Data entry workers are usually hired when a company has hand written documents that they need put into a database as searchable computer text.
For example, let’s say you have a log of guests. Every time a guest comes in they write their name, address, and phone number into the log. Trying to find certain guests would be a pain unless the list was only about 10 people.
This is where data entry workers come in. You would be responsible to enter all of that information into a form on a website for example.
One of the most reputable companies for data entry is Virtual Bee. They have been around since 2001, although previously under the name KeyForCash.
How Do You Start?
Visit the Virtual Bee website and sign up. Afterwards you are required to take a test to see if you qualify. There are waiting lists, so don’t be upset if you don’t hear back right away.
How Much Can You Make?
The pay isn’t all that great, but the work is usually consistent. Don’t expect to make a living, but probably a nice bit of pocket change.
That’s really all there is to it. You can also try a lot of freelancing websites. They usually have data entry jobs available as well.
