How Not To Get Banned From AdSense

It seems like everyday more and more people are getting banned from Google’s AdSense program.

Most claim they didn’t do anything wrong and that google screwed them over. I’m sure you’ve already read many of the sob stories. If not, just google “AdSense banned me” for bout 1.2 million results (ouch!).

Sadly enough all of this could have been avoided, if they only had abided by the terms of service that they agreed to when they signed up for the program.

So if you still have your Google AdSense account and would like to keep it, check out these top reasons why others get banned.

If you don’t have your account anymore you probably aren’t going to get it back. You can check out some AdSense alternatives or our list of over 101 advertising networks.

Don’t Click Your Own Ads!

Even the, “I wanted to test them out” excuse won’t get you anywhere with google. Just don’t click them.

Don’t Get Others To Click Your Ads!

Don’t in anyway request or provide incentives for clicking your ads. Believe it or not Google will probably find out.

Keep Your Account Information Confidential!

You are not allowed to disclose any information about your AdSense account. This means CPC, CTR, how much you made last month, etc.

Only Open One Account!

If you have a personal account and one for your business, you should discuss this with Google before hand. Otherwise this is a big no no.

Watch Your Content!

Google doesn’t want their ads on certain types of websites. These include, but are not limited to gambling, firearm, and adult websites.

Don’t Trick People Into Clicking Your Ads!

There was an old method (still in use today some places) where people would put images directly beside text links to make them appear as if they went along with the images. This would send CTR through the roof, but it is also very misleading. There are other methods as well, but try to avoid them.

Don’t Change The Code!

The code Google provides you should remain exactly as is. This is an easy way to get caught up and kicked out.

READ THE ADSENSE POLICIES PAGE!!!!

Sorry for the delay in reply, but this website is running AdSense as well as ads from DigitalPoint. I’ve been paid by Google several times. It is possible that there is some sort of final approval that an account must undergo before the first payment. All in all AdSense is great as long as you follow the rules.
