While I haven’t kept up with my posting everyday lately (real life reasons actually stopped me from this), I did manage to keep it up for almost two months. There is a trick to this. No it’s not difficult, at least for me, sorry for those of you that do find this difficult.
My secret was motivation. While it might be difficult to post everyday for a new blog not receiving any traffic, it becomes a bit easier once you see readers coming more often with my posts. I posted every day, my readership increased everyday. Fairly simple concept. It makes you want to write more.
Not only did my motivation come from more readers, it came from more people interacting with my website. This means more people writing comments, more people clicking ads(more money [insert smiley face here]), more people requesting to guest post, and more people asking questions.
As I noted before, if you are just starting out, you may not have these things to motivate you as you are just trying to get noticed by search engines and other websites in your niche. Just knowing that you are working towards being noticed should help motivate you to do more.
To be completely honest, when I first began this website I had dreams of making thousands of dollars a month from it and quitting my job. And again, in all honesty, I’m still far from it. Don’t get me wrong, I made a decent amount of money every month and I’m happy. But I’m also still hungry for more.
The key to posting every day, to me, is always wanting more than what you had yesterday. More visitors. More money. More comments. More everything.
So what is keeping you posting everyday? Or alternatively, what is keeping you from posting everyday? Some niches just lack the updates in content to deliver on an everyday basis. I however, do recommend that you give your readers new content at the least weekly. If you are unable to do so, I advise you choose another niche.
