I’ve spoken about micro jobs before here, but that was quite a while ago and I only spoke about one site.
For those of you unfamiliar with micro jobs, they are jobs that can usually be done in a matter of minutes. The fact that they can be done so quickly, means that the pay isn’t usually all that high. Don’t let that discourage you, the fact that they can be done so quickly means that you can do a lot of work in a short time.
How Do Micro Jobs Work?
As I said before, micro jobs are usually jobs that can be done quickly. The jobs themselves are outsourced to websites that then provide them to you.
What Kind Of Work Will You Do?
As I said earlier micro jobs are usually small tasks that don’t take much time. The work usually consists of doing things like:
- Visiting a website
- Commenting on a blog
- Signing up for a website
- Posting to forums
- Viewing/rating videos
- Rating videos
- Image filtering
- Audio transcription
- And more…
How Much Will You Get Paid?
The pay per micro job isn’t much. I’m actually talking pennies here, although you can find some jobs paying dollars from time to time. The fact that you can do so many in so little time makes up for this. The more you work, the more you make.
So Where Are These Micro Jobs?
There are many of these micro job websites out there. Here are the best sites as of my knowledge:
Mechanical Turk, one of, if not the best micro job site around. It is run by Amazon and almost always has work.
Cloud Crowd, another highly reputable site that you should always be able to find work on.
Click Worker, click worker is another great micro job site. The work is usually a little more technical.
There are many other sites around as well. Those are some of the best that I know of. I’ve also noticed a bunch of clone sites popping up. You’ll be able to tell them apart, as they all look alike, except for possibly a change in color scheme.
So if you’re into micro jobs check out those websites, you might find a gem.
