These reports reflect earnings and traffic for dollardojo.com only.
Yesterday concluded my first month of blogging everyday. Yes, at least one article, every single day. This report compares the earnings from March 14, 2013 through to April 13, 2013 and April 14, 2013 through to May 13, 2013.
For the period ending 4/13/2013, there were a total of 7 articles posted to this blog. For the period ending 5/13/2013, there were a total of 37 articles posted to this blog. This is a 428.5% increase in posting to use as a reference point for the other statistics that I will share later.
Let’s begin with the role blogging everyday for a month had on my traffic. The results were actually a lot better than i expected.
- Unique Visitors Increased 88.7%
- Unique Page Views Increased 75.6%
- Bounce Rate Decreased By 4.05%
- New Visitors Increased 6.99%
I know these may not be amazing statistics in some of your eyes, but any improvement is progress in my eyes. We’re looking at the bigger picture and what’s happening in the long run.
My advertising earnings skyrocketed an amazing 2608.6%. As unrealistic as that may sound it’s the truth. Prior to posting every month the advertising revenue that I was earning was only through Google Adsense and AdHitz. During the period that I did post every month I gained a few advertisers through Digital Point that contributed as well as boosted Adsense earnings. Also note that the Adsense earnings are only estimated, they could be less or more (usually less).
My affiliate marketing earnings did even better believe it or not. My affiliate sales earnings raised a whopping 5505.7%. These are primarily from Commission Junction and ShareASale. I plan to add CPAWay to this list over the coming weeks.
The reason for the extreme boost in earnings is because of extremely low earnings in the previous period. The true test will be in following months when we see if these types of earnings will stabilize or continue to rise.
Personal Thoughts And Conclusion
Starting out, I was very pessimistic about the whole thing. I just kept thinking, that this was going to be too much work. I kept telling myself that I couldn’t do it, that I’d run out of things to talk about within the first week. I was very happy to find out that wasn’t the case. I was able to push out two articles some days, and I’m thinking of new things to write about all the time.
Now in all honesty, I don’t plan to see a jump like this in revenue again anytime soon, however I would love to. Traffic seems to be steadily on the rise, which can be expected with the creation of new articles this often. See you again in a month!
