There are actually two different types of positions. One is their college program, where you must be enrolled in a particular school to apply.
The other position is simply the AppleCare position that is based on location. Most locations are however in the U.S.
What Are The Requirements?
Apple requires that their At-Home Advisors be:
- Tech savvy,
- Able to troubleshoot and maintain your own hardware/software,
- Able to resolve different complex issues,
- Comfortable working in a windows environment.
You should also have exceptional verbal and written communications skills and to know how to manage your time effectively.
You will also need a quiet room to work from as well as a dedicated phone line, internet connection, desk, and chair.
What Does An At-Home Advisor Do?
An At-Home Advisor provides remote support for iPhones, iPods, iPads, iMacs, MacBooks, Mac Pros, AirPorts, and Apple TVs.
How Much Can You Make?
Salaries are based on experience and qualifications. GlassDoor shows hourly salaries raging between $10.00 and $17.00.
Apple provides you with an business use iMac and telephone. They also reimburse you $50.00 a month for internet/telephone expenses.
